About Us
Meet The Team:
Lance Hauge, MA
Clinical Supervisor and Psychotherapist
About
I work with clients to improve performance, heal injuries, promote developmental growth, and facilitate awakening. Conscious attention to the patterns that restrict. That is the technique, method and cure.
Your soul, your consciousness, your gifts and talents, await liberation from your beliefs, your defenses, your wounds. It’s your body, it’s your mind, reclaim them with your consciousness.
Life deals us blows that traumatize us, and leave us disconnected. Healing the splits of trauma is no easy task. It requires facing that which our ego is designed to evade. It requires relating where we said we never again would.
It’s your journey. You are the healer. You are the cure. Conscious attention to the split, heals the split. Conscious attention to the energy, beliefs, and feelings, heals the mind, Conscious attention to the body, heals the body.
Lance’s Background
Lance has over thirty years experience in the wellness industry. His interest in therapeutic work began as an attempt to 'fix' the chronic hip pain he suffered as a high school runner. At the age of seventeen he was told he could no longer run and that he would likely need hip replacement surgery at a young age. Unwilling to accept this he ventured into the world of alternative medicine, trying anything and everything that sounded like it might help. His path took him through various bodywork, movement, psychotherapeutic, and energy medicine modalities.
In 1994 he graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science. While in school he interned an assistant trainer for the ASU football team and worked as a personal trainer. In 1995 he graduated from the Rolf Institute in Boulder, Colorado, where he is grandfathered in as a lifetime member. While in school there he worked as a massage therapist, specializing in work with endurance athletes. In 1996 he moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota and started a Rolfing practice. Over the next several years he added various methodologies to his work, including craniosacral work, chakra work, neuromuscular repatterning, and internal martial arts.
In 2001 he experienced a kundalini awakening that resulted in a profound expansion of his ability to work with the subtle and imaginal realms. It was at this deeper level of the psyche that he finally was able to resolve his own hip issue. After fifteen years of frustration and pain he was finally able to resume athletics. He returned to endurance sports, racing mountain bikes and competing in triathlons. In 2012 he completed the Arizona Ironman, celebrating it as evidence of a full comeback from his injuries twenty four years earlier. Excited by the profound effects the subtle and imaginal work had on his own body and mind, Lance began incorporating subtle and imaginal realm methodologies into his work with clients.
In 2010 Lance graduated from Adler Graduate School with a Master's Degree in Psychology. He began working with clients in a psychotherapeutic setting, often combining it with his repertoire of somatic modalities.
In 2012 he founded Dimension Center LLC, a wellness clinic offering individual sessions, group sessions, classes, and training programs. In addition to teaching classes in specific methodologies, he also teaches a training program in the Dimension Approach.
The Dimension Approach, developed by Lance, is a framework for understanding how 'conscious attention' acts as an agent of change in the practices of awakening, healing, development, and performance. It’s methodology involves focusing conscious attention in five specific ways. These specific ways of attending are applied to varying dimensions of the psyche in order to facilitate specific types of change in the mind and body.
What started as an attempt to fix a problem, became a practice, that became Lance's life's work. He continues to enjoy working with clients, teaching, and training new practitioners. In addition to his work at Dimension Center, he teaches classes at Integral Psychotherapy LLC, teaches self defense classes, and continues to compete in sports.

Our Approach
Philosophy:
Our professional worldview is informed by evidenced-based modern depth & developmental psychology, ancient non-dual wisdom traditions, integral theory, the work of renowned artist-intellectuals, and recent breakthroughs in quantum physics & neuroscience.
Central to this integrative perspective is that the transmutation of the psyche or “inner world” is the most effective and sustainable method for achieving authentic “external” transformation in life.
“You cannot have exterior development without interior development to hold it in place.”
—Ken Wilber
This inner development happens through different conscious processes:
Growing up & maturing into an increasingly complex and inclusive sense of selfhood
Cleaning up & healing the fragmentation of past traumas, shadows, and attachments
Waking up & realizing our already-present connection to the depth, spaciousness, fluidity, and wholeness of fundamental consciousness
Showing up & enacting our full creative capacities to elevate humanity
Teaming up & relating more consciously with others
This multidimensional map can be useful when navigating your development together in private sessions.
Engagement:
In addition to this expansive theoretical foundation, our work with clients embraces their uniqueness. We enter this work with an open mind, a sense of humility, and the recognition that each client holds the keys to their own healing.
“...[M]edicine is and has always been an art... True art is creation, and creation is beyond all theories. That is why I say to any beginner: Learn your theories as well as you can, but put them aside when you touch the miracle of the living soul.”
—Carl Gustav Jung
We introduce the methods to you in your “language” so that you feel connected and understood throughout our collaborative process. Our work together is tailored to to support your unique path, and we continuously clarify what is most important in the moment.
Rather than just “collecting” tools and skills, we challenge and support you to integrate them into your life so that the change becomes embodied and permanent.
We have done sessions in our office, at art studios, in music practice rooms, in corporate offices, at the gym, in nature, online, and in private office spaces. These environments can help us get “up close” to the developmental process.
